![]() Sorry for the delay all - I was traveling. If your FiTech wire needs power in both START and RUN you can easily check that function for the White wire with a helper turning the key to RUN or while using a test light you can see from the cab. In your case, the White "CHOKE" wire will be hot in RUN too, unlike the Ford factory White w/black stator wire, which is hot only when the engine is actually running. ![]() If you can measure voltage with the key on at the ignition coil then you're ok and the installer simply did not connect the "I" wire. Seems then, that this wire is not connected, or your ignition does not have power. The other small terminal however (the "I" post) should have 12v when the key is in RUN (but not ACC) because it's connected to the ignition circuit. So no problem that there is not power there when the key is just in RUN or ACC. So your Violet (purple) wire on the small "S" terminal of the starter relay is hot only with the key in START. Whereas your Centech (and pretty much everyone else, including Painless for their other harnesses) uses the GM color codes. Unless you're using one of their generic manuals, Painless references the factory Ford wiring colors. I would only use the Painless manual in a general sort of way then. ![]() It's great news that the harness has been upgraded and is all new (or new-ish?) and the Centech is a great product.
